New Addition

We've recently made a new addition to our little family. No, Alex has not been born yet. We still have about 4 months before that happens. We've adopted a new cat! His name is Critter, and he comes from friends of my best friend Alicia. He's a 7 month old orange tabby and matches wonderfully with our other 2 cats.

He's been getting along pretty well in this house. Wednesday was day we picked him up, and he spent most of that day hiding in the basement. Thursday was spent following Tweek around the house. Tweek wasn't exactly thrilled about this, but he dealt with it. Today, Critter has been tearing around the house on his own. He came in our bedroom about 7am wanting to be pet, then has proceded to follow Evie and I around during our morning routine. Currently, he's finding every toy he can to play with. I love kittens! Little Girl is barely tolerating this new disruption. Before the kitten, she'd spend most of the day sleeping (in other words, typical cat). Now, despite the fact Critter never bugs her, she doesn't hardly sleep, but instead stalks around the house. Today, she's been starting to get back to normal.

Below are some pictures of him. I know they are blurry and dark, but the battery was going out on the camera so the flash was not working well. I'll get better pictures once the battery has recharged.

In other news:
- Evie has started walking a lot more. She is still Miss Independent about it. She never wants to hold our hands for support and always has to do it when she wants to. She holds on to the furniture when she can but doesn't hesitate to break away from the chairs if there is something she wants on the other side of the room. Video coming soon.

- It's snowing! And snowing and snowing and...well, you get the picture. It snowed about 5 inches a week ago. That never melted because the temperature has been so cold. Yesterday, it snowed another 3 inches, along with some ice and hail. It's snowing again today, but there is not really supposed to be any accumulation. The county has been doing a good job of keeping it off the roads, which is nice. I am tired of seeing snow though and am already looking forward to summer! At least we might have a white Christmas again this year.
